Award winning addition to an existing special needs school in Buckinghamshire, and provides a four lane swimming pool, changing facilities, gym, fitness suite. The sculptural, timber articulating roof construction, is evocative of ripples within the pool. Photographing the architecture was secondary here, and indeed the primary basis for the shoot was to interpret a human scale using children playing with the structure as simply a backdrop. Actually, a few years before, I had photographed the models of the project before it had even been won. So it was great to see it completed.
